Yes, as you can all see, I am going through a black and white phase. After I saw Edward Weston's work at the getty center and what I have learned in my 2D design class, it has inspired me so much. It is great when a photo has a meaning, but the composition of it matters as well. For instance, the repition and variation of shapes in a picture, dominant/subordinate direction/movement, unity in the photo (by implied line, containment, closure, and physicial continuity), positive/negative space, depth, etc. This is my first semester taking classes that are dedicated to my major and I've already learned so much. I can't wait to learn more about art.
